What is Fortus Checkout?
A checkout consists of several different payment methods, with the customer choosing which one. Has been standard in e-commerce for a long time but is now gradually being implemented in regular retail.
The advantage of a checkout is that the customer chooses, but the customer is also offered the possibility of credit that is otherwise not available. Especially good for upsells, i.e. when the customer wants to choose a more expensive solution but does not have the option of a direct payment there and then. Also very good for loyalty-promoting sales of, for example, 10 cards where you get the 11th on purchase, etc.
Does Fortus Checkout cost anything extra?
No, the service is free of charge with Fortus. Other providers, on the other hand, often charge a monthly fee if they can even offer it.
How do I go about getting Fortus Checkout?
You get Fortus Checkout when you activate our payment software, Fortus Flex or for Fortus Smart, Fortus POS, Fortus POS+ or Fortus Enterprise.
Does it take a long time to activate Fortus Checkout?
You will receive Fortus Checkout automatically when you activate any of our products. It takes different lengths of time for different products such as card acquiring which needs to be activated via Bank or Swish which is also activated via Bank. However, Fortus Invoice can be used immediately if you wish.
Do I have to use all payment methods in Fortus Checkout?
No, you can activate the Payment Methods to the extent that you wish. In our POS solutions Fortus Smart, Fortus POS, Fortus POS+ and Fortus Enterprise, you can control which payment method is shown to the customer.
